Questions brokers ask first

Straight answers.

Is it exclusive, or am I racing other brokers on the same file?

One broker holds a file at a time. While it is yours, nobody else can see the merchant's details. If you return it or your clock runs out, it goes to the next seat, never to two at once.

What if I take files and fund nothing?

You owe nothing. You pay only on fundings. But the ladder ranks on paid per file, so a seat that funds nothing slides down, gets served last, and after the trial month is closed.

Do you broker these files yourselves?

No. Enrichment Capital operates the exchange and does not take files from it. That is written into every seat agreement.

How do you know what I funded?

You report it in the portal with the funder and amount. We check UCC filings on every file at two and four weeks and call a sample of merchants. If we find a filing you did not report, we show you what we found and you have five business days to answer with the contract. Nobody is closed on a mismatch alone; an unreported funding with no answer is.

How and when do I pay?

Every Monday you get a statement of the previous week's fundings and the 2 percent due, with ACH details. It is due Friday. Unpaid, the seat is frozen; two weeks unpaid, it is closed.

What about big deals, where I only make 2 or 3 points?

The fee is capped. On any funding above $100,000 you pay 2 percent of the funded amount or a quarter of your commission, whichever is less. Attach the funder's commission statement to the funding report and the lower figure applies; without it, 2 percent. A $750,000 deal at 2.5 points pays $4,688, not $15,000. The same rule covers renewals and additional positions for 12 months.

What kinds of files are on the exchange?

Statement files: the merchant sent three months of bank statements, which are screened and graded A to D before release, and every card shows the grade, position, deposit band and the ask. Other file types will be announced on the desk when the first batch of that type lands, not before.

What is the 48 hour clock?

From the moment you take a file you have 48 hours to mark a status. No status and the file returns to the pool for the next seat. The clock is for a status, not for a close.

What if the merchant takes a week to send papers?

He stays yours. A file on call back or collecting papers is yours for up to 10 business days as long as you keep the status current: collecting papers renews 72 hours at a time, a call back can be set up to 7 days out. A submitted file stays yours until the funder answers; mark it still pending every week or so, and after 30 days with no update it is returned as stale.

What if the merchant says no, or was already funded?

Mark it. A merchant who is not interested or does not qualify returns to the pool with your reason attached, so the next broker starts smarter. A merchant who asks not to be called is removed everywhere, permanently.

What does a seat cost?

Nothing to open and nothing to hold, for the founding group. You pay 2 percent of each funding, invoiced weekly, and that is the whole bill. On a funding above $100,000 you pay 2 percent or a quarter of your commission, whichever is less, with the funder's commission statement attached, so a big deal at 3 points never costs more than a small one at 10. From the second group onward a seat carries a refundable $500 deposit, returned against your last statement, and a $250 monthly floor after the trial month that is credited against the 2 percent. Fund $12,500 in a month and the floor costs you nothing. Founding seats keep their terms for as long as the seat stays open.

Why not charge a subscription?

Because then we would be a lead vendor again, and you would judge us like one. We earn only when you fund, which is why we can afford to verify every funding instead of selling the same file ten times. The ladder works for the same reason: your results and our income are the same number.

How many files will I get?

Every seat starts at 20 a day. Tiers step to 50, 100 and 200 on results: dispositions kept current, fundings reported, statements paid on time. Nobody buys a bigger tier.
